The stocking rate has ranged from 275 to 300 pair. The home features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an open kitchen/dining room, and a glassed-in sunroom.  It has central heat and air with natural gas piped to the house for heat. The home is sited on a hill overlooking the gorgeous rolling pastures, with mountains in the background.  Most, if not all, of the ponds have fish.  
Even though there is not a lot of wooded area on the ranch there is enough along the creek and streams to allow cover for deer to come through the ranch.  The neighboring land to the west is the Gruber Game Management Area, having several hundred acres of forest.  Some really nice bucks have been harvested on the property. The owners are cultivating the turkey population which has been increasing under their ownership, and a flock was sighted during the listing tour.  
Access is via a paved county road about 25 minutes from Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  The average rainfall in Cherokee County is about 48 inches.
